Press Release Summary: The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), the Philippines' premier orchestra and the resident orchestra of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), is in need of a Music Director and Principal Conductor whose term will commence on May 2009 and end on April 30, 2012.
Press Release Body: The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), the Philippines' premier orchestra and the resident orchestra of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), is in need of a Music Director and Principal Conductor whose term will commence on May 2009 and end on April 30, 2012.
The main tasks of the Music Director is the following:
. Prepare and oversee the implementation of a three -year plan for the orchestra, covering thrusts, programs, concert seasons, training of musicians and other related activities. . Conduct daily rehearsals of the orchestra. . Program PPO performances, recommend and initiate negotiations with guest artists . Conduct a certain number of performances per month.
The Music Director and Principal Conductor shall be paid a monthly salary of $3,000 (Three Thousand US Dollars), subject to appropriate tax for foreign workers and shall be provided accommodations.
